Church remains closed
Our Church Council met on Tuesday, June 23rd with Annette Sanders who has been heading our Coronavirus Team (the Church Council) making plans and decisions regarding how and when to safely open the church and it's ministries. It was decided with a unanimous vote not to open the church at this time due to liability issues. It was decided that the re- opening of the church would be addressed at each monthly council meeting until the Church Council's personal liability issues are not longer of concern. We will be contacting you with more information regarding the re-opening of our church when a decision has been made.
In the meantime, please continue to worship online and at home, and reach out to your brothers and sisters in Christ at St. Paul through phone calls or notes in the mail helping to continue our relationships with one another as a church community.
Missing Our Worship experience?
A couple of you have shared with Pastor Shanley that you miss our traditional worship experience. Because the congregational council has decided not to open the church until further notice, it will be awhile until we meet together in this way again. For this reason we have added some audio recordings of worship from previous years when we could gather to worship our Lord together on our messages page for you to listen to. We hope you enjoy!
Our church officers have decided to suspend worship and all other activities at the church until further notice. We will keep you informed as this situation changes. Please see the announcement above.
While the building is closed, ministry continues. Our focus is on compassion, care and support. Please call the church office, leave a message, and pastor will get back to you as soon as possible.
Our Presiding Bishop of the ELCA and Synod Bishop have both addressed concerns regarding the coronavirus. See the letters by clicking on the link shown in the box.
